When the sun goes down and the lights come on, Courtenay Place comes to life. It’s where Wellington goes to celebrate, relax and catch up with friends

It’s home to Embassy Theatre, a grand old picture theatre that has hosted red carpet film premieres, including The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in 2003. It's also where you'll find some of the city's top cocktail bars like The Library and Lulu, award-winning restaurants including Dragons and Ortega Fish Shack and fun nightclubs including Mishmosh and Dirty Little Secret.
