Celebrating Rodger Fox: The Rodger Fox Big Band

Wellingtonian Rodger Fox’s career as a jazz musician spanned 50 years. Following his recent passing, his band is putting on a special concert to honour him and his huge contribution to the New Zealand jazz scene. He was a revered jazz trombonist, music director, educator, and big band leader. Celebrating Rodger Fox: The Rodger Fox Big Band will look back over the past five decades of music making. The band has mined its extensive back catalogue for classics plus hits from their latest album. 

This emotionally charged concert will feature skilled soloists from the band, vocalist Erna Ferry, and special guests. True to Rodger’s style, you can expect the unexpected.
