Hall of Heroes

Superheroes have taken over Upper Hutt courtesy of a new international exhibition. ‘Hall of Heroes’ at Whirinaki Whare Taonga invites you to explore the world’s superheroes including Batman, Superman, Iron Man, Black Panther, and Wonder Woman.

In this hands-on experience, you’ll discover your own superpowers through a series of interactive stations. Try out your superhero skills in a wind tunnel, a laser lab, with memory and logic tests, or try diffusing a bomb.

The world of crime fighters from past and present movies and television shows will be on display. See gadgets, movie props, and rare artefacts. There are also opportunities to get a picture with life-size statues of Hulk, Batman, and Doctor Who’s Tardis. A major highlight is a fully licensed replica of the 1966 Batmobile.

This exhibition explores the idea that everyone has their own special abilities and encourages everyone to help others. Find your inner superhero.
