Kick off the New Year with an electrifying live music festival hosted at Brewtown in Upper Hutt — Wellington’s only craft beer village. 

Featuring Ocean Alley, Sublime with Rome, Drax Project, Coterie, and more, Shake & Bake is set to be a memorable day and night-long festival.

Headlining act Ocean Alley is jumping the ditch from Australia just for the occasion. The psychedelic rockers are coming off the back of a year of international touring. Their appearance at Shake & Bake will be their first show in Wellington since 2022 when they sold out the Michael Fowler Centre. 

Hailing from California, ska alternative-rock band Sublime with Rome are synonymous with summer. They’ll have the audience singing along with their hit tunes from start to finish. 

Aotearoa chart toppers Drax Project are renowned for their infectious pop hooks and energetic live shows. With new single ‘Disrespect’, the hometown heroes are excited to be back on their home turf. 

Supported by Coterie, My Baby, Masaya, and The Grogans, Shake & Bake is sure to bring the summer vibes to the Hutt Valley.  

Brewtown is within walking distance from the Upper Hutt train station and just 40 minutes from Wellington City by car. Food, drinks, and other refreshments will be available to purchase on-site.
