The retail options on Willis Street have long been touted as a mecca for shoppers. The quality of options has spread a block west to Victoria Street. There are all manner of boutiques and cafés along both stretches of road.

Your first stop could be Iris Store and Studio. The exclusive Wellington beauty boutique is offering hands-on makeup workshops two evenings per week for the duration of the WOW season. When you arrive you get a glass of bubbles. When you leave you’ll have a glam glow ready to wow at WOW (and a haul of goodies to take home).

The Mews has been offering quality clothes, accessories, and homeware since 1969. It’s offering a 10% discount on purchases for WOW ticket holders. You’ll also be offered a glass of wine while you shop during the WOW season.

For the fashionistas interested in the environment, Forest and Bird are convening a panel discussion. As part of its centennial celebrations, the New Zealand charity will host a live event with experts talking about sustainable fashion.

Make time before the show to visit one of Wellington’s famous rooftop bars. The Arborist at 166 Willis Street has great deals for World of WearableArt attendees. Look out across the steeples and high-rises in central Wellington while enjoying a WOW-inspired cocktail.
