Employer Connect Programme
Connect and network with Wellington employers to get an understanding of what it’s like in New Zealand workplaces
As the saying goes, it’s not always what you know, but who you know. But – it’s not always easy to network with local employers right!? This is where the Employer Connect programme will help you.
Employer Connect is a safe and accessible way for graduating international students to meet employers and get started on interacting with professionals in the Wellington workplace.
How it works
Graduating students first register via the appropriate form, where they will indicate three areas of interest within an organisation.
From there they will be allocated to a group that will connect students with employees from an organisation, receive information about that organisation and what to prepare for before they go.
The Study in Wellington team will facilitate meetings between these small groups of graduating international students and employees, which are more of a social networking opportunity around a morning tea or afternoon tea hosted at the organisation’s workplace.
