The Performing Arts Foundation (PAF)

PAF supports events through grants for performing arts projects and productions across the Wellington region. This includes Wellington city through to Porirua and Upper Hutt.

The foundation receives its funding from a $1.50 levy included in every ticket purchased for St James Theatre and The Opera House. Venues Wellington, a subsidiary of WellingtonNZ, operates these venues and is the administrator of PAF grants.

PAF focuses on supporting projects that engage children/youth and diverse communities with the performing arts, either as performers or audiences. Subsidised tickets are not a focus for this fund.

Individuals or companies involved in the Performing Arts in Wellington are welcome to apply. You do not need to be registered as a company or for GST to apply for PAF.

Please ensure you have read through the supporting information before applying.
