Loryn Blaikie leads the Business Events Wellington team, bringing a genuine passion for people, collaboration, and delivering meaningful outcomes for the region. Known for a thoughtful, practical approach and strong relationship‑building skills, Loryn is excited to contribute to BEW’s work and be part of a team that values quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Not new to the region, Loryn is a passionate Wellingtonian who adores the vibrancy, food, coffee, and culture that make Wellington truly special.

Jorja joins the team after completing a Bachelor of Commerce at Victoria University of Wellington. During her studies, she fell in love with the city’s vibrant energy. Jorja decided to stay in the capital to launch her career in the business events industry. 

As the first point of contact for enquiries and leads for events with under 250 delegates, Jorja supports organisers from the outset. She provides day-to-day administrative support to the team. Her work helps deliver seamless, memorable business events that showcase Wellington at its best.

Since mid‑2023, Louise has led our international business development activity, identifying international conference opportunities, matching them with Wellington hosts, and managing the Wellington Advocate Network. She also supports business development across the domestic and Australasian markets.

Angela has been a part of the events scene in Wellington for several years. Her background is in hotel conference and events sales management. Angela has a deep passion for hospitality and has exceptional client relationship skills. Outside of work, Angela loves showcasing Wellington’s top dining spots and hidden gems, adding a personal touch to her professional role.

Originally from Sydney, Belinda has a strong background in the Australian events industry. She brings experience in business development and event management across venues and global law firms. She moved to New Zealand in 2016 and settled in Wellington in 2021. Since then, she’s been impressed by the city’s conference infrastructure, outstanding hospitality, and regional gems like Kāpiti Coast and Wairarapa. 

Belinda loves to share the wonders of her new hometown with her fellow Australians. She’s always keen to build connections and promote the benefits of holding conferences in Wellington.
