Located right on Cuba street, Aunty Mena’s is a great spot to feed the soul with great quality vegetarian and vegan Asian food. Serving up decent size portions for affordable prices makes it perfect for a simple lunch or dinner. Open from 12pm till late.
Hillside Kitchen & Cellar
99 Victoria Street, Te Aro, Wellington
Providing a fresh, seasonally foraged, plant-based menu, Hillside is a great representation of creative New Zealand cuisine. Due to growing their own produce, their menu is frequently changing with the seasons. Hillside is open for dinner service (5pm-9pm Tuesday to Sunday) with their full multicourse menu, priced at NZ$75 per person . Additionally, they open for lunch (11.30am-1.30pm Friday and Saturday) with their à la carte menu or an abbreviated version of their set multicourse (NZ$62pp).
Hillside Kitchen is currently located on Victoria Street due to renovations being completed on their Thorndon restaurant.

Located within the heart of Wellington’s best shops, Seize would be a great morning tea or lunch spot. Open from 7am-3.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am-2pm on Saturday. Shed 3 Queens Wharf, Te Aro, Wellington
Dockside is hosted in one of Wellington’s beautiful historic buildings, dating back to 1887. With front-row views of the waterfront, this two-story restaurant (upstairs not wheelchair accessible) provides a large range of menus including a fully plant-based menu, a daily A La Carte menu, and a set and degustation menu (both requiring a minimum of 48hrs notice).
The menus are filled with the best ingredients New Zealand can offer and range in price from NZ$35pp on the A La Carte menu to NZ$195pp (with wine matches) for a 7-course premium degustation. Open 12pm-3pm for lunch, 6pm-Late on weekdays, and 11am-3pm for brunch on weekends.

Nestled on Cuba Street, Olive offers contemporary New Zealand cuisine, with beautiful vegetarian and vegan options available on their seasonally changing menu. A 20-year-old olive tree serves up shade in their tropical courtyard, welcoming guests for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Olive is open from Tuesday to Sunday. Guests can expect to pay between $24-$42 per main depending on the menu.

Located just off Courtney Place, Fratelli offers a fresh and modern taste of Italian cuisine with an extensive Italian wine list to accompany. Using only the freshest of ingredients, including 100% homemade pasta, gnocchi, risotto, and pizza, Fratelli offers a three-course (NZ$55 per person) and a four-course (NZ$75 per person) set menu as well as an à la carte menu.
