Almost thirty years after the duo cut their teeth in the comedy clubs of Wellington, Flight of the Conchords are coming home. Fans can expect a career-spanning set. It will include hits from their Emmy-nominated HBO series and two critically acclaimed studio albums.
After taking an eight-year break from performing, Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement burst back onto the live scene in 2026. They played two sold-out shows at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. That followed five intimate warm-up shows at Wellington’s Meow Nui. While they put the Conchords on ice for a few years, the pair both remained busy. Bret won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for ‘Man or Muppet’, wrote songs for ‘The Simpsons’ and‘The Minecraft Movie’, and released two solo albums. Jemaine has focused on the screen, creating comedy horror TV shows ‘Wellington Paranormal’ and ‘What We Do In The Shadows’. He’s also appeared in films including the last two ‘Avatar’ instalments.
