There are wooden toys, books, and a handful of cute accessories. Each item fits perfectly with the store’s soft white and pastel palette.

Locally owned and operated, Goldie is located in the heart of Eastbourne Village. The brightly lit space with neat wood racking almost resembles an art gallery.

Owners Jono and Damian have 30 years of design and retail experience between them. It was the renovation of their 1950’s house that sparked the attention of friends and family, and inspired them to open their own store. The duo designs their own products, as well as imports from around the world.

Schrödinger’s Books is an independent bookstore in Petone. Since opening in 2019, it has gained a reputation for its wide range of books and excellent service. Its speciality is Japanese Manga comics, a niche but popular subject.
