The Wellington Advent Calendar is a digital calendar brought to you by WellingtonNZ. It features daily deals from Wellington businesses. Each day from 1 to 24 December unlocks a new door that has deals hiding behind it. Most deals can be redeemed throughout December and until 31 January 2026, unless otherwise specified. Be sure to check the terms and conditions for each deal.
You need to create an account on the 2025 Advent website to access the deals. From 1 to 24 December, new deals will be revealed each day. When you are redeeming a deal, the business will provide you with a unique code that you’ll need to enter on the deal page of the Advent website. Once you’ve entered the code, click ‘redeem’, and you’ll be able to proceed with your purchase. Each deal can only be used once per person.
To redeem a deal
- In-person deals — when you’re at the business, show the staff the deal on your device, and they’ll give you a code to input to redeem the deal. Be sure to mark the deal as redeemed once used.
- Online deals — either click on the link to go directly to the business’s website with the deal applied, OR click on the link and enter the deal code. Make sure you mark it as redeemed on Advent once you’ve completed the transaction to keep track of which deals you’ve used.
By creating a Wellington Advent Calendar account you will automatically get access to all deals as they unlock each day. You don't need to do anything until you're ready to use a voucher.
- In-person deals — To use an in-person deal you will need to take your device in-store and show it to staff at time of payment. They will process the voucher for you and give you a secret code to enter.
- Online deals — Most online deals will include a promo code that you can enter when you check out. Don't forget to mark the deal off as redeemed on the Advent website after paying, so you can keep track of which ones you've used.
This year we've added a favourites feature to make it easier to keep track of the deals you don't want to miss.
To favourite a deal, log in, click on the deal, and then click the heart icon. You can access your favourites list at the top of the Advent page.
No. Unlike previous Wellington Advent Calendars, we do not email out individual vouchers. You also do not need to ‘claim’ the deals once they’re unlocked. All deal information is now hosted on the website.
To reduce the impact on the environment, Advent deals can only be redeemed via your phone or device. If you show up with a printed version of the deal, the business may not honour it. To avoid disappointment, please check directly with the business ahead of time.
No. You can access and use all the deals until the end of January, or earlier if they are limited-time offers. Check the Terms and Conditions on each deal for more information.
Most deals are valid until 31 January 2026. You don’t need to rush to have them all downloaded by a certain date, like in previous years. Some deals might have earlier expiry dates or limited numbers. Check the Terms and Conditions on each deal carefully so you don’t miss out.
Yes. In order to use the Wellington Advent Calendar deals, you’ll need to create an account on the website. You can create an account using your email address or by using your Facebook or Google account. Logins from previous years will not work; therefore, all users will need to sign up.

We've upgraded our login system this year for a smoother experience. This means that anyone using the 2025 Wellington Advent Calendar will need to create a new account. Logins from previous years will not work.

- Check that you're logging in with the right method. If you first signed in with your Facebook or Google account, the password reset feature won't work. Instead you'll need to sign back in by clicking on the Facebook or Google login button.
- Check that you've created a new account this year. The password reset email feature will only work if you have created an account on the 2025 Wellington Advent Calendar website. Previous logins will not work.

If you are repeatedly getting an error page when trying to create your account, please email us at advent@wellingtonnz.com and we will reset your account.
This usually means that the initial account creation was not successful, but rest assured, a quick reset should fix it.
