Cable Car Museum
Situated at the entrance to the Botanic Gardens and with breathtaking views of Wellington, this location mixes heritage buildings with award-winning architecture.

This renovated historic space was built in 1902 to house the winding gear which pulled Wellington's first cable cars from the city centre up to Kelburn.
The Wellington Cable Car Museum is a memorable destination for your next function or event. From cocktails and nibbles to receptions and launches, this boutique museum provides the ideal location for that special event with a capacity of up to 90 guests. Two floors of open gallery space provide a unique venue with original cable cars and the working sitting room as a backdrop.
