Wellington is already the lowest carbon city per capita in Australasia and ranks first in environmental security. To maintain this progress, Wellington has joined cities from around the world in the Cities Race to Zero to halve carbon emissions by 2030 and is on a mission to become a carbon-zero city by 2050.
