Riverbank Market

Held on the banks of the Hutt River, the Riverbank Market is popular Saturday morning activity for locals and visitors. The large market is a one-stop-shop for fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, meat and bread. There's always a range of food trucks serving fresh and delicious food with global flavours to feast on, as well as a few arts, crafts and clothing stalls. Grab a coffee and some breakfast and enjoy the hustle and bustle of Saturday mornings at the Riverbank Market.
Artisan Craft Market
Showcasing Aotearoa's artists and craftspeople, the Artisan Craft Market runs every two months at Te Wharewaka on the Wellington waterfront, bringing together over 70 stallholders and their locally made, high-quality products.
At the markets you’ll find quality, New Zealand made products. Glass pictures, jewellery and brooches made from unique materials such as resin and polymer clay, handcrafted soy wax candles and homewares, prints, original artworks and much more are all on display. The community-forward event is also a chance to meet the makers themselves, as many of the artists and shopkeepers look after the tables and stalls.

Porirua Saturday Market

On Saturday mornings, head to Porirua Saturday Market and immerse yourself in cultures, music and flavours. The market is set up at the Waitangirua Mall carpark and goes ahead no matter the weather.
This popular market is full of hustle and bustle with a strong Polynesian and Asian flavour. With stalls ranging from clothing, Pacific Island crafts to fresh produce and food stalls, the market comes alive with the sound of Pacific Island and contemporary popular music. Admission to the market is free.
Newtown Fruit & Vegetable Market
Newtown School, Mein Street, Newtown, Wellington
Held every Saturday morning at Newtown School, the Newtown Market is an outdoor market selling fresh, locally-grown produce at reasonable prices. The market has a colourful, bustling atmosphere and there are often buskers performing music.
Get breakfast or a snack from one of the food trucks or stalls and join the Newtown locals, mingling with Wellingtonians from suburbs further afield, and nab yourself a fresh bargain.
