Wellington is abuzz with Bee in the City

In Spring, Wellington transforms into a vibrant outdoor art gallery to raise funds for LifeFlight. The bee trail is perfect for a fun, free, family-friendly day out. Download the app or pick up a map from The Enormous Crocodile Company bike shop on Herd Street. Bee in the know about where to go, tick off sculptures, earn rewards, and discover new corners of the waterfront.

New Zealand artists and community groups have designed each sculpture to uniquely tell the story of Aotearoa. Keep an eye out for local artist Ariki Brightwell’s ‘Ngaro huruhuru’, inspired by our native bee. Found a favourite? When the trail ends, you can bid for the artwork and take it home. Auction proceeds will contribute to LifeFlight’s lifesaving work, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
