The first-ever Howden British and Irish Lions women‘s series is coming to Aotearoa in 2027. With five games across the country, Wellington is to play host to one of three Test games. The competition is sure to be fierce and the atmosphere electric. 

Sitting at the halfway point between Rugby World Cups, the tour will offer high-calibre clashes between two rugby powerhouses. Ben Calveley, CEO of The British & Irish Lions, said the tour marks “something truly special for the women’s game.” With the first-ever tour title on the table, you can expect both teams to leave it all on the field. Let‘s fill the cake tin with stomping feet and edge-of-your-seat screams. The Wellington game is Test number two of the series, so pull on your jersey, warm up your pipes and get ready for Black Ferns fever to sweep the city.
