Our business support teams offer a range of services to support businesses at all stages of growth, spanning business mentors, capability grants, research and development funding, tourism business and product consultancy, and regional development projects.
Through our subsidiary Creative HQ, we also provide acceleration, incubation and innovation services.
Business Growth Team
WellingtonNZ’s Business Growth Team works with Wellington businesses to build capability and encourage innovation through their work as the Government’s Regional Business Partner for the Wellington region.
From start-ups to large established businesses, specialist advisors are on hand to connect business owners and managers to funding, expertise and programmes.
Tourism trade
WellingtonNZ’s tourism team is well equipped to help boost the economy in the region, offering start-up advice for new operators, support and programmes for regional tourism businesses, and waving the Wellington flag with travel sellers both here and overseas to help them sell the destination to visitors.
The Tourism Trade hub is armed with all the information and inspiration needed to help travel sellers promote and sell Wellington as a destination.

Education, talent & skills
WellingtonNZ’s education team promotes the Wellington region as the perfect destination to study and enter the workforce.
The Study in Wellington team focuses on the Wellington International Student Growth programme, partnering with education providers to help attract students, enhance the experience of studying in Wellington and support students to be work ready.
WellingtonNZ’s talent team works to maintain, attract and develop talent in the business sector in the Wellington region, and is tasked with supporting employers to attract top talent to live and work in Wellington. This includes supporting skills and intern programmes such as Young Enterprise and Summer of Tech.
isite Visitor Information Centre
The Wellington isite Visitor Information Centre boasts local experts on all things Wellington and beyond, and can help book travel experiences in the region and around New Zealand. Our team also looks after event ticketing and the Snapper bus card.
