Long Gully Bush Reserve comprises 107 hectares of regenerating forest. It sits roughly 5 kilometres southwest of Wellington City, surrounded by the suburbs of Karori and Brooklyn.

Long Gully Station sits west of Brooklyn and south of Karori, just 15 minutes from central Wellington via Ashton Fitchett Drive past the Brooklyn Wind Turbine. This former sheep and cattle station spans steep, windswept slopes with rugged, exposed rock and sheer cliffs.

The station features significant conservation efforts, including QE2 covenant areas protecting regenerating native bush. The property includes an airstrip and provides access to Wellington's South coast four-wheel-drive track.

The dramatic terrain offers authentic rural New Zealand settings and can stand in for New Zealand’s central plateau or other high country. There is easy vehicle access via private roads with the station connecting to both coastal tracks and conservation areas, making it ideal for productions requiring varied rural and wilderness settings on private land within 15 minutes of Wellington city.
