    8pm

For the first time in a decade, Beth Orton will sing in Aotearoa. The BRIT Award-winning and Mercury Prize-nominated singer/songwriter will perform with her full band at Wellington’s St James Theatre.

Her latest album ‘Weather Alive’ was one of the most critically acclaimed records of 2022. The album landed on many year-end ‘Best Of’ lists and was hailed by some as her finest work yet.

Beth has long been regarded as possessing one of the most unique and expressive voices in music — a voice that has grown evermore rich and wise over time. Her style has shapeshifted over the years and resolutely refutes categorisation. It weaves from hushed, folk-informed storytelling to dark, brooding esoteric experimentalism. She has collaborated with The Chemical Brothers, Andrew Weatherall, and William Orbit.
