Christian Benson is known professionally as Luude. The Australian drum and bass producer is best known for his 2021 cover of the 1980s iconic anthem Down Under. The D&B rework gave it a whole new dynamic and sold millions of copies. Five years and many successful mixes later, Luude is riding a wave of success. He’s toured relentlessly across some of the biggest stages in dance music and now comes to Wellington’s Shed 6. Along with Down Under, you’ll hear big hits like Big City Life, TMO, and Oh My.
Luude’s recording achievements also include an ARIA Award for Best Dance Release and a nomination for the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist Award. He also won Best International Artist at the 2022 Drum and Bass Awards, three BBC Radio 1 Hottest Records, and platinum, gold, and silver Certifications. He is also half of Australian electronic duo Choomba.
