He’s a treasured musical voice in New Zealand culture. Sir Dave Dobbyn has over 45 years of experience as a singer, songwriter, and recording artist. For one special night, he will be singing in Wellington at The Opera House. Many of his songs have acted as a backdrop to Kiwis’ lives and shaped the sound of the country’s popular music scene. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2022, Dave declared it “business as usual” — and continues to inspire with his unmistakable voice and enduring stage presence. Recognised with a Knighthood in 2021 for his services to music, Dave remains one of New Zealand’s most revered cultural figures.
