Tofiga — Fresh Since Ages Ago

Comedian Tofiga Fepulea’i is best known as a member of the stand-up comedy duo Laughing Samoans. Many of the hilarious characters created are still thought of fondly by Kiwis. Now Togifa is recreating those characters, plus some new ones, and travelling to The Opera House in Wellington. 

Fresh Since Ages Ago is a collection of skits that bring back Tofiga’s family characters, such as Aunty Tala, Uncle Sam, and Kung Fu master Tavita. A fresh update will be added when Tofiga collaborates with social media sensation and content creator Laban Miller. Together, they will present music, new characters, and new laughs. It’ll take ‘fresh’ to a whole new level of funny. 

Tofiga Fepulea’i’s first stand-up comedy show was performed at the New Zealand Fringe Festival in Wellington in 2003, so it’s fitting that he returns to the capital. Since that debut, he and Eteuati Ete formed The Laughing Samoans and toured around New Zealand, the Pacific, Australia and North America.
