Wise Old Bugger in Lycra

The last in a trilogy of cycling-themed plays skids into The Wellington Opera House in May.  Writer-director Gregory Cooper and seasoned Kiwi actor Mark Hadlow collaborate once more to bring their cycling trilogy to a close. The one-man play 'WOBIL: Wise Old Bugger in Lycra' follows previous installments ‘MAMIL: Middle Aged Man In Lycra’ and ‘GOMIL: Grumpy Old Man In Lycra’. Expect familiar faces, trademark physical comedy, plenty of laughs, and a fair bit of heart too.

Mark is one of New Zealand’s best-known actors. You might have seen him on screen in ‘King Kong’ or ‘The Hobbit’, or a host of live professional theatre shows on stages around the motu.  Gregory's past work includes ‘That Bloody Woman’. This latest chapter sends Wayne on his hardest hill climb yet. With help, and hindrance, from a few old friends and enemies, he’s determined to go out in a blaze of lycra glory. Get ready for one last spin through friendship, ageing, and resilience.
