The Curious Case of Benjamin Button The Musical in Wellington

Every second counts. That’s the theme of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Having taken London and New York by storm, the hit musical is now making its way to Wellington, New Zealand.

Described by WhatsOnStage as “The best British musical in decades” the show is an enchantingly beautiful and truly unordinary story. It follows Benjamin Button who is born old and bound to the fate of growing younger each day, Benjamin wants nothing more than to live a little life. But will he ever find a place to belong?

The Olivier Award-winning musical is based on the 1922 short story by F Scott Fitzgerald. The story also inspired a 2008 movie. Now for the first time out of Broadway and the West End it travels to Australasia and Wellington has scored the premier. It brings a big heart, a foot-stomping score, and 15 remarkable actor-musicians who, among them, play 30 instruments. Get ready for a sweeping live score and a show epic in scale but intimate in feeling.
