Wainuiomata Trail ParkA difficult but rewarding downhill ride for advanced mountain bikers only.
29m climb
-336m descent
331m highest point
Morepork is a steep rocky ride that will test the nerves and technical prowess of the fittest, gutsiest and most advanced riders. If you've ridden Trickle Falls at Mākara Peak Mountain Bike Park and that wasn't for you, then Morepork might not be either.
It's a trail that features gnarly terrain and more than a few sketchy chutes and drop-offs (grade 5+).
Inexperienced riders should steer clear. Morepork is best attempted on a 160mm+ enduro or downhill-specific bike, and never in wet conditions.
This trail is primarily for bikers. Walking is not permitted.
There are regular bus and train services to Wainuiomata and the surrounding areas. Timetables are available from Metlink.
