By the time indie/folk singer songwriter Aldous Harding hits Wellington, she will have travelled across the UK and Europe with her Train on the Island tour. By the time the tour reaches the Michael Fowler Centre, it will be a finely oiled machine.
Named after her fifth studio album Train on the Island, all ten of the album’s songs will appear in the concert, including One Stop, and Venus In The Zinnia.
Aldous Harding captivates listeners with what Martin Pepperell describes as an ‘elastic and shape-shifting voice’. This, combined with eccentric performances, has catapulted the Lyttelton-born singer to fame. Her second album ‘Party’ won the Taite Prize in 2018, and The Barrel, from her third studio album ‘Designer’, won the 2019 APRA Silver Scroll award.
