John Bishop is a Liverpool-born comedian and actor. His tour ‘Back At It’ is hitting Wellington after a huge run of sell-out shows across the United Kingdom. His past two years have involved TV presenting, stage acting, podcast hosting, dog walking, and decorating the spare room. Now he’s back and doing the thing he loves most — standing on stage and making people laugh.
His standup success story is famous. In 2006, after a career in sales, the 40-year-old left his job to become a full-time comedian. Within three years he was playing to sold-out arenas. Humility and a natural unaffected personality are hallmarks of his hilarious delivery.
“Two hours of observational humour delivered so skillfully it looks effortless.”
