This summer, there will be another reason for people to say, “you can’t beat Wellington on a good day”. Following the success of last summer’s Fat Boy Slim show in Anderson Park, Live Nation will once again be hosting live music in the unbeatable setting of the Wellington Botanic Garden.

Beginning on Thursday 30 November, the three-night series kicks off with internationally acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy. Night two brings indie-rock band The War On Drugs, with the final act soon to be announced.

Dermot Kennedy will bring ‘The Sonder Tour’ to Anderson Park. From busking on the streets of Dublin to selling out stadiums in America, Dermot Kennedy blends folk, pop and hip-hop influences across his two albums. This is his first show in Wellington.

American rock band The War on Drugs merges the many sub-genres of rock into one unifying sound. Their fifth studio album, ‘I Don’t Live Here Anymore’, released in 2021, was hailed as one of their best. Performing in New Zealand for the first time since 2018, along with special guests Spoon and Indigo Sparke.

The final act to complete the series lineup will be announced soon.

Kicking off the season with three days of epic music, On A Good Day is sure to bring some of the best days of the summer to the capital.
