It’s a stage show that covers vast rivers of galaxies in the cosmos, the ecosystems of Earth, and the structure of the human brain. Emergence is the latest show by English physicist, presenter, and personality Professor Brian Cox. He takes to the stage at TSB Arena to contemplate the dazzling complexity of the universe and how it’s built on profoundly simple principles.
Emergence is also a scientific history of 400 years of human discovery. How did we come to understand so much about the cosmos? Guided by mathematics, curiosity, and an aesthetic sense of symmetry, our species has begun to read the story of the Universe. We’ve started to carry our spacecraft to the edge of the solar system and outwards to the stars. Brian’s engaging style makes these questions come to life. The audience will be left awestruck and thrilled as the show covers vast topics in an accessible way.
Brian has appeared in many landmark science programs for BBC radio and television over the last 15 years, from the Peabody Award-winning Wonders of the Solar System to the worldwide hit series The Planets. His previous touring show, Horizons, was performed to nearly half a million people across the world.
A Jaw-dropping reminder that human life is both irrelevant and hugely precious.
