Following the sell-out success of their European summer tour, System Of A Down is heading to Hnry Stadium for its only New Zealand concert. Wellington audiences will also be entertained by warm up act and alternative rock icons Faith No More.

This concert marks System of a Down's first Wellington show, and their first time playing in Aotearoa in more than a decade. Blending metal with diverse influences including jazz, opera, and Armenian folk, System Of A Down have sold more than 42 million albums worldwide. They released their debut self-titled album in 1998, but it was not until the release of 'Toxicity' in 2001 that their popularity exploded. Heavy music fans can expect a massive career-spanning set filled with the songs that have defined the genre for more than 25 years.

It's been a long time between Wellington shows for Faith No More. The last time the San Francisco-based band played in the capital was 1997. Responsible for such classics as Epic, Midlife Crisis, and a distinctive cover of The Commodores' Easy, they've developed a die-hard following over the last 40 years.

Together the bands will bring decades of hard rock (and its fans) to Wellington for what promises to be one of the most electrifying nights of heavy music the city's ever seen.
