About the trail

The Greytown to Woodside Trail is a family-friendly pathway that connects the quaint Wairarapa township of Greytown to the historic Woodside Railway Station.

The wide limestone pathway weaves through an avenue of mature oak trees with views of the Tararua Range and Gladstone Hills. The walking trail is also suitable for bikes, prams and wheelchairs and provides easy access to a cycleway that runs from Udy Street in Greytown to the Waiohine River.

Getting there

What to expect

The trail is exposed to the sun, but has many macrocarpa shade belts along the path. It has wide open views across farmland towards the Tararua Range.
