Alma House is a restored two-level venue in Mount Cook, just minutes from central Wellington, perfect for hosting intimate events.

Alma House blends history, hospitality, and heart. It holds original brick kilns, soft lighting, and inviting booth seating. The space is ideal for functions and corporate events of up to 60 participants. The private dining room upstairs seats up to 42 guests, with a welcoming foyer on the ground floor.

Seasonal menus are curated by The Food Lab, the catering team behind some of Wellington’s most iconic events. Known for thoughtful food and attentive guest experiences, they now bring their expertise to a venue of their own. Bespoke menus, beverage options, and styling create a truly memorable experience.

The beautifully designed dining space features built-in booths and sculptural lighting to create an intimate setting. From seated meals to standing receptions, hosted events, dinners, and tastings, there's a setting for everyone.

The ground floor foyer offers a welcoming space for arrivals, drinks, or canapés before guests move upstairs for the main event. The layout feels seamless, with everything in place for a polished experience. You’re also welcome to bring in your own styling to make the space feel like yours.
