Soak up the atmosphere at New Zealand’s oldest test cricket ground and the only ground to have Historic Places status.

The Basin is one of the most iconic and intimate cricket venues in the world and a unique offering within Wellington. The Basin has two easily accessible rooms available for hire, with parking on-site.

The Longroom has a capacity of up to 150 guests for a seated meal. Floor-to-ceiling windows also make it perfect for exhibitions or full-day meetings. Equally as versatile is The Norwood room with a capacity for up to 200 guests or split into two smaller rooms. Both function spaces look directly onto the wicket making this one of the coolest venues in the capital.

Highlights

  • During meeting break times, or for pre-dinner drinks and canapes, The Cricket Museum can be open for guests. It houses cricket memorabilia from the 1800s to today.
  • Rooms are fully accessible.
