Welcome in the change of seasons with blooming cherry blossoms among more than five hectares of serene gardens in Upper Hutt.

Each spring, Aston Norwood Gardens transforms into Blossom Valley, a picture-perfect pink paradise. The family-friendly event is a feast for the senses. Take in the sprawling gardens, and enjoy the sounds and scents of nature. Aston Norwood is home to New Zealand’s highest number of mature cherry blossom trees. Walk among more than 350 Sakura cherry blossoms, and feel transported to the heart of Japan.

Timing is key for Blossom Valley, with each event scheduled around the natural blossoming of the trees. However, as with all things in nature, conditions can quickly change. Keep up with peak blossom timings around event time via the Blossom Valley Facebook page.

Evenings will bring the magic of the blooms alongside an enchanting light experience in Blossom Valley After Dark. Enjoy the magic of the season by wandering the beautifully lit trails under a glowing canopy of flowers.

There will be food and drink options on-site for both day and evening sessions. Picnic in the sun or under the stars, and soak up the magic of blooming cherry blossoms.
