Gold-toned portrait of a Heath Franklin Chopper wearing aviator sunglasses and a collared shirt, resting crossed arms covered with tattoo-like markings against a dark background.

Buckle up, Wellington — Chopper is back and not mincing words. The Australian comedian, otherwise known as Heath Franklin, is storming The Opera House with his new show ‘Chopper - Gold’. As usual, his take-no-prisoners sense of humour will be on display. For his 2026 tour, he’s delivering two decades of his funniest gags. Revisit sketches from The Ronnie Johns Half Hour: a comedy show Heath made with his uni mates. Expect a big dose of swearing with big hits like Harden the F*** Up, The Weather sketch, and Shopping at Bunnings.

While Chopper has his tongue firmly in his cheek, the audience will be clutching at pearls in horror or clutching their sides in fits of laughter. When Chopper is not shocking crowds, he’s appearing on New Zealand television show ‘7 Days’. He also has a string of Australian television appearances.
