All your favourite Christmas traditions play out across four Saturdays in November and December. The Wellington festive season has a suitably summer flavour with a host of fun activities brought to you by Wellington City Council.

Christmas in the Quarters kicks off with Christmas crafts in Midland Park on Saturday, 22 November. There are five craft activities to enjoy, plus face painting. Kids can also post a letter in Santa’s letterbox. On Saturday, 29 November, the whole family can enjoy Christmas music and performances. There will be choirs, hip-hop dance, ukulele playing, and more. Chill out and absorb the sounds and sights of Christmas.

A Christmas circus extravaganza comes to Queens Wharf on 6 December. The sails outside the TSB Arena will host street buskers. There will be more face painting, a touch of fire and another opportunity to post your letter to Santa in Santa’s letterbox. The final event on 13 December features Santa at Waitangi Park. Snap a photo with the jolly man in his grotto and take a selfie in his sleigh. Entertainment includes ice skating, a snowball globe, a foam pit, face painting, caricatures, and live performances. A variety of food trucks will be on site. Round out the festivities in the evening with a joyous Christmas carols sing-along at Waitangi Park.
