John Bishop — 25 Years of Stand-up Tour

English comedian, presenter, and actor John Bishop is heading to Wellington with a milestone to shout about. The Liverpool-born comic is celebrating 25 years in the business. His material usually draws from life experiences, and previous stand-up has covered observations about fatherhood, cycling around the world, playing semi-professional football, and his time working as a nightclub doorman. His Michael Fowler Centre show will undoubtedly showcase his famous natural charm and humility while delivering hilarious observations. 

“I can’t believe it will be 25 years since I first performed at the Frog and Bucket in Manchester. It’s been a rollercoaster!” says John. On top of stand-up comedy, he has found fame as a presenter. Among his many television appearances is ‘John Bishop: In Conversation With…’ This series saw him chatting with some of the biggest names in entertainment, music and sport. He has also fronted multiple documentary-style shows.
