Luke Kidgell with a tiny devil version of himself on his shoulder, whispering into his ear.

You’ve seen him on the internet, now it’s time to see him in real life. Luke Kidgell established a reputation as a social media star. His YouTube content and podcasts cemented his comedic credentials. He’s since turned his hand to live shows. Now, following a successful tour of the United States, Canada, Australia, and Europe, Luke is coming to Wellington. His brand-new show, Good Intentions, is set to make The Opera House giggle.

Luke is known for his viral crowd-work interactions. These often lead to unusual, yet hilarious encounters. Despite not having much control over his impulsive thoughts, the Australian insists that deep down he means well. This year, he’s on a mission to prove that he really does have good intentions.

In 2016, Luke went viral with his ‘You don’t own me’ videos. In these, he humorously disobeyed societal norms. His comedy fame has earned him over 600k followers on Instagram. He is also the host of the autobiographical podcast ‘Memoirs of a White Guy’.
