From sold-out arena performances across Europe, the celebrated Dire Straits Experience now heads to Wellington. Personnel for the Long Highway World Tour has been assembled by Dire Straits veteran Chris White, who toured with the original band in the 90s. Prodigious singer-guitarist Terence Reis is also on board, adding further clout to the musical genius on stage.
Delving into Mark Knopfler’s platinum catalogue, this world-class ensemble reignites Dire Straits’ greatest hits with skill and showmanship. Hear classics like Money for Nothing, Walk of Life, So Far Away, Brothers in Arms, Sultans of Swing, Tunnel of Love, Telegraph Road, and plenty more. A seven-piece ensemble will take you on a two-hour odyssey with full concert production values.
Formed in London in 1977, Dire Straits was active until 1988 and then again from 1990 to 1995. Across six studio albums and five live albums, they have sold more than 120 million units worldwide.
