Wellington Phoenix women’s 2023-24 season

The Wellington Phoenix women’s team are heading into new territory this season with the launch of the new Liberty A-League.

Australia’s premier women’s football competition has been expanded to 12 teams and 22 rounds. With the Phoenix to play 11 games in Aotearoa, 10 of which will be in Te Whanganui a Tara.

This year Football Ferns midfielder Annalie Longo captains the team’s kaitiaki (guardians) group. She was one of the Phoenix’s biggest off-season signings.

The 133-cap Football Fern adds to the mix of experience and youth in New Zealand’s only professional women’s football club.
