Atsuko Okatsuka — The Big Bowl Tour

She’s been described as having one-of-a-kind humour, boundless energy, and infectious charm. Comedian and actress Atsuko Okatsuka is heading to Wellington with her latest show, ‘The Big Tour’.   

With podcasts, television and film acting, and standup specials on streaming platforms, Atsuko has gained a huge following. Her previous tour, ‘Full Grown’, sold out over 200 shows across 20 countries. Her latest standup special, ‘Father’, premiered on Disney+ and has made it onto its Top 10 list. 

Atsuko’s viral moments are as legendary as her stand-up. She has ridden a Jeepney (a type of public utility vehicle) in the Philippines and started the #DropChallenge, which helped bring Beyoncé’s ‘Partition’ back to the charts. She’s become a true queen of the internet with clips from her live-filmed show, The Intruder, racking up over 100 million views. Fans even turn up to her shows wearing wigs styled as her signature bowl cut as a form of homage. Humour has no borders when you’re that funny.
