Critically acclaimed stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and TV personality Alan Davies is heading to Wellington in 2026. His new show, ‘Think Ahead’, marks his first visit to Aotearoa in a decade. Like the latest instalment of his memoirs, White Male Stand-Up, the performance covers his extensive career, and the highs and lows he’s experienced. Alan says the show is about a late middle-aged stand-up comic. He thinks he’s Marty McFly, but he’s older than Doc Brown. He spends more time in the pharmacy than the gym and is subjected to relentless eye rolls from his kids.
Davies is a staple of British television. He’s known for his performance as the eponymous hero in the long-running TV series Jonathan Creek, and as a permanent panellist on QI. His talk show, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, recently reached its seventh season. He is also one of the UK’s best-loved comedians.
Your jaw will hurt from laughter.
