It’s going to be an unforgettable day of live music. Six of New Zealand’s premier rock and metal acts converge on Brewtown in Upper Hutt for a Labour Weekend celebration. The epic lineup at Amped Up 2026 includes headliner Devilskin. The four-piece alt-metal band will deliver precision and power accompanied by searing vocals from Jennie Skulander. Alternative rock heavyweights Villainy, Kiwi rock legends Tadpole, and industrial-metal pioneers Head Like A Hole also make an appearance. Modern rock powerhouse Written By Wolves, and rising favourites The Boondocks, round out the stellar lineup.
From soaring choruses and crushing riffs to mosh pits and your anthem favourites, Amped Up 2026 promises a full-throttle celebration of New Zealand rock and metal. Brewtown General Manager Phil Gorman says the success of last year's event has created huge momentum heading into 2026. “Amped Up 2025 exceeded all expectations and proved what we’ve always known — Upper Hutt and the wider Wellington region have a huge appetite for rock and metal music.”
Back by popular demand, Devilskin returns this year following an amazing 18 months. The band reached the top spot on the Official Top 40 Charts and won the inaugural Aotearoa Charts #1 Award at the 2026 Aotearoa Music Awards. They also took home the People's Choice Award in 2025.
