Music with Hawaiian roots will ring out across Waitangi Park in early January. Maoli is heralded as one of Hawaii and Polynesia’s number one commercial recording artists. Led by singer-songwriter Glenn Awong, the group is known for crafting unforgettable music that transcends borders. As one of Hawaii’s most beloved bands, Maoli blends island reggae, country, soul, and contemporary rhythms. The resulting soundscape is sure to transform Wellington’s waterfront park into a summer party zone.

Formed in 2007, Maoli has since risen to fame with heartfelt songs that connect deeply with listeners. Their journey from small Hawaiian venues to international stages highlights the group’s dedication to music and culture. Maoli’s new album, ‘Last Sip of Summer’, was released in 2025. Expect to hear Glenn’s smooth vocals applied to new songs as well as gems from the back catalogue.

Tickets available to the general public on Thursday, 6 November at 7pm.
